Red Empire has made our first virtual reality experience and we are excited to share the process. We made the video for Quintis, a leader in cultivating and extracting Sandalwood Album, showcasing their plantation in Kununurra.
One of the challenges we faced included mapping the 3D environment to enable animations to be placed inside the video. This takes a very powerful computer and a lot of time to render but once it’s mapped out the sky’s the limit!
Our production crew also had the challenge of hiding amongst the foliage during filming, as the 360 camera captures all directions so they had to get creative.
In order to get the fully immersed experience, we recommend watching VR videos on a certified headset – you are more than welcome to pop into our office and try it out for yourself!
