The Woodside Pyxis Hub development is an off-shore gas project located in the Carnarvon Basin in Western Australia. In September 2019, TechnipFMC were assigned the subsea EPCI (engineering, procurement, construction and installation) for the project, and Red Empire Media documented the progress of the development for two years. We supplied photo and videography documentation across over 20+ shoots, including an amazing trip to the deep ocean to capture the installation unfolding first-hand.
Our graphic design team were contracted to create a special book celebrating the TechnipFMC staff and thanking them for their work on the initiative. Around 100 copies of the book were printed and distributed to the TechnipFMC team that worked on the development. The book features photos taken by Red Empire and TechnipFMC staff of equipment, installation, team members and group activities and was well-received by their staff.
The offshore trip saw Red Empire directors Bernard and Jeremy spend seven days aboard Technip’s state-of-the-art Deep Orient vessel after a 7-hour journey to the deep ocean. Before the trip, they completed BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) course certificates in preparation for their time on the vessel, as seen below. The induction involved an intensive underwater helicopter training course.
The Pyxis Hub development project proved to be quite an adventure for us, and we were happy to have been able to create this unique keepsake for the hard-working TechnipFMC team!
